The annual Consumer Electronics Show started this week on January 5th, 2017. Let’s take a look at the new gadgets announced that will change the way you live in your home.
LG Smart Refrigerator
LG announced a smart refrigerator integrated with webOS and Amazon Alexa. The fridge can automatically adjust energy settings, order groceries, keep track of food expiration dates, look up recipes, and more. (Source: The Verge)
Carrier Cor 5C Thermostat
Carrier’s new smart thermostats can now estimate savings off your monthly energy bill, create ideal temperature settings, and is integrated with Apple’s HomeKit with Siri, and Amazon’s Alexa. No pricing is available yet with the Carrier Cor 5C, however we can expect a lower pricetag than their competitors from the Nest Learning Thermostat and Honeywell Lyric T5. (Source: CNET)

GeniCan Internet-Connected Smart Trash Can
The world has finally met it’s most advanced trash can. The GeniCan automatically tracks what you’re throwing out to a digital shopping list, mkaing it easy to buy or not buy items at the grocery store. You can automatically reorder items through Amazon’s Dash service integrated with GeniCan. You can start making trash smarter in early 2017. (Source: The Verge)
LG Hub Home Butler
LG unveiled the “Hub” smart robot that can play music, look up weather, control other LG appliances, such as preheating an oven and turning on a vacuum. The LG Hub can recognize faces and learn about their owners to carry on conversations. It features an animated face and swiveling body to look at whoever it’s talking to. (Source: Mirror.uk)
Smart devices can add to home value such as lights, door locks, and security systems. Millennials say they will pay 3%-5% more for a home with upgraded amenities.
