San Jose Christmas In The Park Breaks Guinness World Record with 600 Christmas Trees
San Jose’s iconic Christmas In The Park breaks the Guinness World Record for the most illuminated Christmas trees in a single area. The final count for illuminated Christmas trees in Christmas In The Park is 600. Every tree was sponsored and decorated by local groups, including Boy Scout troops, local business, clubs, and high schools.
The record was held by the Hallmark Channel by setting 559 trees in New York City in 2015. The official video was sent and confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records as they counted every tree shown.
Christmas In The Park will be open for 45 days until January 7th, where an estimated 650,000 people will visit the park. Downtown Ice will be open as well, an iconic circular ice skating rink in Downtown San Jose, making it on our list of Top 5 Best Ice Skating Rinks in the San Francisco Bay Area:
